Authenticity & Hallmarking

At Akhsar, we believe in transparency and quality. Every piece made of precious metals is hallmarked and certified by the Portuguese Assay Office (Contrastaria).

What is Hallmarking?

Hallmarking is a quality assurance process that verifies the purity of precious metals. In Portugal, this is done by the Assay Office (Contrastaria), which tests and guarantees that the precious metals used in our jewellery meet the required standards.

Each of our silver pieces over 2 grams carries:

✔ A hallmark stamp confirming the legal silver content (925 sterling silver)

✔ Our manufacturer's responsibility mark, registered with the Portuguese Assay Office

These marks ensure the authenticity and purity of your jewellery, offering you full confidence in its quality.

How to Verify Authenticity

You can find the hallmark and our responsibility mark on your pieces and check it yourself using the Assay Office references below. If you ever have doubts about the authenticity of a piece, you can have it inspected at the Portuguese Assay Office for verification.
